First of all, welcome to my site. My name is Joshua Gerrard and I am the one responsible for JGCalligraphy. You can learn just a little more about how this obsession of mine began on my about page. The fact is I find myself, almost six years into the art of lettering, trying to establish myself on a broader scale...a personal business, if you will, capable of catering to a more diverse clientele than I have already. I have done a lot of stationary and gift card type work for Hallmark in Florida as well as several invitation pieces (parties and weddings mostly - one featured on photo page). I have even done less traditional work such as street art - messages that can only be read from thirty feet or above, and scrolls; in just about any theme of design, medium, font, etc. My goal here is to be as versatile as your imagination, but I can't achieve that without your input. So please check out the rest of my website, especially the photos page and then write to me...simple. And again, thanks for stopping by to take a look!

The photos you will see in this site are only a small (and incomplete) representation of the styles that I can make work for you. Versatile in many fonts and mediums, I know I can help design quality paper products to satisfy any of your calligraphic cravings

I thought it best to, at some point in my site, apologize for laziness on my part. You see, the e-mail address linked on the about page has been been invalid ever since i embarked on the mississippi river...more to write about that later. However, I have finally updated the link and I would love to hear your comments and ideas, whether or not it pertains to calligraphy.

For more information about what JGCalligraphy is and the possibilities that may be waiting for your personal breath of life, go to my About page and Photo page.

It's hard to believe that it has been over two years since I have worked on this site. I am editing this portion of the site because of me earlier comments about the mississippi river. On august 22 I paddled from charlie's boathouse on lake Itasca to "the log" with the commerative inscription. One hundred ten days later, I paddled into new orleans moonwalk river landing. This trip was by far the most challenging and enlightening journey I have yet taken in my life. For more information on the highlights of this trip, and some cool photos, visit www.jodyontheriver.freeservers.com. I will probably write more on the subject in the next two years or so.
